Global Aerospace Advisor; Former Head of Regulatory Affairs – Hypersonix

Joe Urli is a globally respected aerospace and defence advisor with over 30 years of experience across civil, military, and uncrewed aviation. A former head-of-state flight operations engineer and aviation regulator, he has held pivotal roles with CASA, Boeing, Airbus STAR Program, and advanced eVTOL ventures, contributing to the safe certification and regulatory alignment of cutting-edge aerospace and hypersonic technologies. 

Joe is renowned for his work in drone sovereignty, trusted autonomy, and export-controlled technologies (ITAR, DSGL), and for advocating resilient safety frameworks that support the rise of AI-powered and autonomous systems. He has testified before the Australian Senate, led national aviation bodies, and advised both government and industry on integrating robotics, cybersecurity, and AI into critical infrastructure. Joe now leads SkySync, a strategic initiative fusing regulatory leadership with AI-driven aerial technologies for national resilience.
