David Taylor is a seasoned cyber security professional with nearly three decades of experience spanning many aspects of cyber including consulting, risk management, penetration testing, and engineering. He currently serves as Senior Cyber Security Advisor at Bunnings, where he leads cyber risk management for AI initiatives and represents the cyber function on the company’s AI Governance Forum. 

David was a founder of Asterisk Information Security, a Perth-based firm that became part of CyberCX following its acquisition in 2019, marking him as one of CyberCX’s foundational figures. His career also includes key roles in the banking sector, and other professional services and systems integration firms. 

With a strong track record in both technical and leadership roles, David brings a unique blend of deep technical expertise and strategic insight to the evolving intersection of cyber security and AI.
