Dr. Muhammad Bilal Shaikh is an AI Software Engineer who unites industry practice, academic rigor, and community leadership to advance intelligent, autonomous systems. At Molycop in Perth, he architects and delivers production-grade solutions in multimodal machine learning, sensor fusion, and Generative AI for real-time, mission-critical operations.
He has led AI-driven deployments across six continents (Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America, and Africa) in mining, business process optimizations and smart environments, partnering with organisations such as BHP, Rio Tinto, Aurecon, Amazon, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Vodafone, AT&T, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, and Dow Jones, and collaborating with research teams at the University of Melbourne, University of Central Florida, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Deakin University and Edith Cowan University. Recognised with awards for top-tier, peer-reviewed publications, his work includes global collaborations at the frontiers of Generative AI and robotic perception.
In addition to serving as Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (Western Australia) and a CSIRO’s STEM Professional, Dr. Shaikh serves on boards for various institutions, strengthening strategy, governance, and industry-research impact.
At IPRAAC 2025, he will present applied patterns for fusing vision, audio, depth, and telemetry with Generative AI to deliver robust autonomy and decision support in complex, dynamic environments.
